For car/taxi/ride-share/bus it is unpredictable – It could take 30 minutes in perfect conditions (e.g., at 3:00 AM) or it could easily take 90 minutes OR MORE at rush hour. A good “rule of thumb” to any of the three airports is to budget 60 minutes on rail-based mass transit from mid-town. Subway and Bus information (including a VERY helpful point-to-point trip planner) can be found at įor return trips, your best bet is to ask your hotel for guidance on departure time for your planned time of day and chosen transit method. Please familiarize yourself with the NY Subway and Bus systems as they are a great way to get around the city. The most predictable form of transit is rail-based mass transit (Subway and/or regional rail) as they are not affected by the unpredictable and frequently congested traffic conditions in New York and New Jersey.
